About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you will support the Quality Control team by conducting analytical testing and ensuring accurate reporting of results. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine analysis of samples in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Accurately document and input results into laboratory databasesMaintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipmentEnsure compliance with internal quality standards, ISO requirements, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)Follow Health & Safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environmentCollaborate with colleagues and adapt to changing priorities as neededWhat We're Looking For
Proven experience working in a laboratory environment (preferably in chemical or analytical settings)Experience using ICP-OES, BET, UV-vis and particle sizeFamiliarity with QC practices and ISO standardsCompetency using laboratory software and general IT systemsA proactive and flexible approach to workStrong awareness of Health & Safety procedures

A level in Chemistry, however higher qualifications (BSc/HNC/HND) will be acceptedKnowledge and background understanding of chemistry and experience in a laboratory will be desirable Good communication skills as you will be working in a busy laboratory, communicating with different departmentsThe hours are 6:00am-2:30pm (these hours may move to 8:30-5:00 in quieter periods) - therefore a car and driving licence is essential
